Lothian GT12 Shootout

 Lothian GT12 Shootout

Lothian RCCC are pleased to announce that we will be holding a one day meeting on Saturday the 18th of April.

This will primarily be a GT12 meeting but there will also be a support class offered of 13.5 and 17.5 touring cars.

Lothian RCCC is the premier racing experience for GT12 in Scotland with our 21m * 12m track allowing space to race and really show your GT12's true performance.

The race format will be 6 minute racing for GT12 and 5 minute racing for Touring cars with 4 heats and 3 finals for everyone.

This will be a fun and relaxed meeting but there will be some rules.

What could be better than a whole day racing your GT12 or touring car ? How about a free days racing ? There will be no entry fee for the Shootout meeting.

The club will be running the night before so the track will be laid and ready to race when doors open at 9.30 on Saturday 18th April.

GT12

Construction rules as per the BRCA national rules.

The idea is to run to the ethos of these rules and they will not be stringently scrutineered. So if you have cut the chassis or drilled an extra hole no problem, running a 205 shell rather than a GT fine but if you've fitted a GT12 shell to a 1/12th circuit chassis then no thanks.

Additive is allowed from the BRCA List ie Spider Grip and SXT.

Blinky speed controls, 1s batteries and 13.5 turn motors.

Touring Car

Rubber tyres. Additive allowed but please only use non oily additive.

13.5t or 17.5t motors,  2S batteries and blinky speed controllers.

1350g Weight limit.

Documents relating to construction rules and blinky speedos are available on the documents page of the website.
